Billion Dollar Bullseye
Client: Ideapress Publishing
Task: Create a dynamic book interior based on an existing cover design.
The interior pages would feature end of chapter summaries, section breaks, pop quizzes, quiz scoring devices, suggested reading, a glossary, and an index.
Length: 248 pages
Jonathan’s cover was designed by Pete Garceau. It’s my job to incorporate Pete’s bullseye motif and fonts throughout the interior.
This book was published by Think Twice / IdeaPress Publishing.

Jonathan Cronstedt is an investor, advisor and author. JCron is a Board Director at Kajabi, a knowledge commerce platform, where he was president from 2016 to 2021.

The cover’s bullseye graphic was incorporated into chapter openers.
All chapters included (opening quotes) and H1 headers, which had to be placed accordingly.

Every chapter ended with a quiz to ensure that the reader had grasped and retained the core messages given. I created a look for the quiz sections.

Each quiz had a scoring system on the following page (see stars) followed by a recap page.

Many of my nonfiction business book clients add a section in the back called “Suggested Reading,” seen here.
This is something to consider adding to the back matter of your next book!

The publisher also added an index to the back of this book.
*Please note that index text and page numbers are always generated by a trained indexer, not the typesetter. The typesetter (me) lays out the text that an indexer provides.

“Zoe is always such a pleasure to work with! Her process is clear and seamless, and I marvel at her ability to take a jumble of half-baked ideas and transform them into the perfect design.”
